Explaining the Boxx Base Price

A Boxx Office Studio Pod kit has a base price between $15,000 - $38,000 depending on the model. When doing internet research on prefabricated office pods, it is important to understand what a base price includes so you can shop and compare on an apples-to-apples basis. Once our customers review everything included in the Boxx base price, they understand the value and the quality of the Boxx finished product.

Boxx builds for the extremes of oppressively hot summers and bitterly cold winters of the Northeastern United States. Boxx deploys structure insulated panels (SIPs), the most energy-efficient envelope system (floor, walls, and roof) available to combat these extremes. Precision SIP structures outperform stick-built by 50%, so heating or cooling systems aren't laboring to maintain the temperature, and operating costs are kept extremely low.

SIPs are precision-cut prefabricated panels that are assembled on-site in hours versus days. The walls, floor, and roof arrive ready to assemble. The images above were taken on day one of an actual Boxx Model C project. This also means that your backyard isn’t a construction site for months, some might consider that “priceless!”

All of the other materials are designer-selected for quality, low maintenance, and beauty. Pella windows and doors are elegant and slide open and shut as smoothly as silk. Our Boxx exterior finishes pictured below feature NewTechWood and ATAS. Each is a prefinished siding system that is installed quickly and each system provides a wide array of color and texture options. The envelope of the Boxx is protected well, reflects your individual tastes, and looks great!

Inside, Nantucket Beadboard for the walls and Hydrocork Flooring both install quickly, look good, and are durable. HVAC is included in the base price. We recommend a Friedrich Air Conditioner and a Heat Storm wall-mounted heater, keeping you comfortable in your office pod. Lighting inside and outside is included in the base price. We like the Halo LED lighting system. 

Making our beautiful Boxx studio pods feel larger is the addition of an integrated deck with plenty of room for an outdoor chair to enjoy a cup of coffee or take in some fresh air. Our NewTechWood decking system provides long-lasting durability and multiple finish choices. Pictured below is the elegant entry to this Boxx studio.

The Base Price includes:

• A thorough design process to help you customize your Boxx.

• Assistance with permitting and foundation design.

• Boxx will act as your Owners Representative helping you and your contractor assemble your Boxx (including site visits).
