All Boxx models are built with structural insulated panels (SIPs) as a sturdy, prefabricated solution that can be constructed quickly and will withstand northeastern weather. The floor, walls, and roof are precision-cut SIPs with the electrical chases, windows, doors, and air conditioning unit precut before delivery. The roof will be covered with asphalt tiles.

For the exterior cladding and decking, we have selected NewTechWood as an attractive, durable, and easy-to-use material for that Nantucket or Cottage look. This is an eco-friendly composite made from dense recycled hard and soft wood fibers and high-density polyethylene plastic. Their Ultrashield™ Technology for the wall cladding protects the materials from pests, rotting, fading, staining, and scratching. NewTechWood has a tongue and groove sliding system for horizontal and vertical installation.

We use Pella windows and doors for their variety of beautiful designs and their exceptional durability. The Boxx Model G Inspired by She Shed Living has in-swing French doors and double-hung windows with mullions selected for this Boxx model. A roof cupola, vinyl shutters, and window boxes are optional additions for a signature She Shed Living design.

The interior walls will have Nantucket Beadboard as the standard option. This is a classic cottage look with tongue and groove paneling. The flooring is Hydrocork, which is a premium waterproof flooring solution that combines performance with sustainability and the comfort of cork. There are a variety of color choices from LL Flooring.

Heating and cooling options include either a window unit or a wall air conditioner, such as a Friedrich Wall Air Conditioner. To heat the Boxx, we recommend the Heat Storm Wall Heater. All of these options are WiFi enabled to set the temperature from your smartphone. If you wanted to choose a ductless mini-split as a heating and cooling option, we would be able to help with that upgrade.

We think you will be excited but not overwhelmed by the color and design choices of the materials we have selected for the Boxx Model G She Shed Living Edition. Throughout the design process, we will provide renderings and material samples to aid in your decision-making.
