With all of the great generative A.I. tools out there today, it is really fun to see the images or text they create. The newest platform of interest is Interior AI, which takes a photo of a room and generates a new look. We used Interior AI with an interior rendering of a Boxx Model F to create some unique home office designs and here is the output.

The steps are quite easy, first step is to upload an image. The second is to select the type of room, in this case, the closest selection is a home office. The next step is to select a design theme for the office, hit the “go” button, and wait a few seconds for the results. Images were generated in about 10-13 seconds, with the exception of one design theme!

This is a rendering of a Boxx Model F as a glam she shed created by our designers at Boxx and this is the image uploaded to Interior AI.

The first theme selection was “Coastal.” The white furniture and light wood floor do provide a beach feel. However, It is more tropical with the placement of large plants.

The second theme was “Scandinavian” and the look works with the addition of the wood wall and clean lines of the furniture, except that they added a door where there wasn’t one and removed the window wall.

The third theme was “Modern” and this is definitely modern! The patterned wood wall is a nice contrast to the mirror wall. The mirror wall made the space look really large and the acrylic desk (table) was the right vibe.

The last office design theme was “Bohemian” and that image did not generate! Maybe Bohemian offices are not really a thing? A switch to “Cottagecore” - just to see if we could get something - gave a message that the free images were done for the week. 

This is a great tool for imagining what a space could become or understanding what different design looks actually mean. Tune in next week to see what “Cottagore” or “French Country” might generate.
